How to create a WiFi QR code
Enter your details
Type in your exact network name (SSID) and password. Most home routers use WPA/WPA2.
Test scan it
Scan the preview with your own phone and make sure it connects before printing.
Download and print
Save the image. It's a static code, so it works forever. Stick it on your router or frame it for guests.
Skip the password recital
Typing out a complex WiFi password leads to typos and frustration. A WiFi QR code lets guests connect in one scan — no spelling required.
Your password stays on your device
Everything is generated in your browser. Your WiFi credentials are never sent to our servers or stored anywhere.
For businesses
Put it on tables, at the front desk, or in meeting rooms. Guests connect themselves — no staff interruption needed.
For home
Stick it on the fridge or leave it in the guest room. Friends join your network without you having to recite a 20-character password.
About WiFi QR codes
How does a WiFi QR code work?
A WiFi QR code stores your network name and password in a structured text format that iOS and Android both understand. When the phone camera reads it, the OS passes the data directly to the WiFi manager, which handles the connection — no typing needed.
It works well in a lot of contexts: cafes can print it on table tents, Airbnb hosts can frame it on the welcome desk, offices can put it in meeting rooms, and homeowners can stick it on the fridge. Anywhere guests need WiFi and you'd rather not recite a password, a QR code solves it.
Common questions
Is it safe to share my password this way?
It's about as safe as writing the password on a piece of paper — which most people do anyway. The code itself is just a visual representation of that text. Only display it where you're comfortable with guests accessing the network.
What does "Hidden Network" mean?
Some routers are set to not broadcast their network name (SSID). If yours is hidden, check this box. The QR code will include an extra flag telling the phone to actively search for it rather than wait to see it in the list.
Does this work on iPhones?
Yes. The format we use is supported natively by the iOS camera app and by Android 10 and up. No third-party app needed on either platform.
